The Role
We are looking for an Electronics Engineer (Consultant) to contribute to 42T’s diverse client projects with electronic content. This role will suit an electronics engineer with relevant experience and wishing to get involved in a broad range of projects and challenges.
Main Duties / Key Responsibilities:
- Help deliver high quality consulting engineering services to our clients. To achieve this objective, you will work with other project team members, including the Project Manager and Technical Lead, to understand customer requirements and define solutions that meet those requirements.
- Design and development of electronic systems.
- Analysis & modelling of circuit and system performance using PSpice, LTSpice or similar.
- Definition of test schedules and test electronic circuits and systems.
About You
Essential:
- Undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline.
- Experience analysing, designing, constructing & testing electronic circuits.
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, etc.) to validate and investigate circuits. Along with knowledge of design verification, compliance testing and test automation methodologies.
- A strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design.
- Fluency in schematic and PCB design tools for generating manufacturing files (e.g. Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during the design, development and testing phases of projects.
- Understanding of communication protocols and interfaces, such as Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and serial communication.
- Familiarity with EMC standards, EMC measurements and design to meet for EMC.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to participate as part of a creative multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical work to colleagues and clients.
- A passion for electronic engineering and product design.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills - the ability to engage with colleagues on all levels.
- Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and developing knowledge and skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
